Histological section of the testis and spermatic cord stained with trichrome to highlight the connective tissues (blue). The testis is enclosed by the tunica albuginea, a dense connective tissue layer. Inside, numerous seminiferous tubules are visible, arranged in lobules and separated by connective tissue septa. The rete testis is located within the mediastinum, connecting to the epididymis (via efferent ductules, not seen in this section), which on the posterior surface of the testis. The spermatic cord contains the pampiniform venous plexus, testicular artery, and associated connective tissue, surrounded by the cremaster muscle and fascia. Please note that this is only a section of the testis and immediate structures and does not include the scrotum and associated layers. The image illustrates the structural organization of the testis and its associated vascular and ductal components.
