Histological section of the clitoris stained with H&E, showing the dorsal neurovascular structures and erectile tissue. At the dorsal aspect, the dorsal nerve, dorsal artery, and superficial and deep dorsal veins are visible beneath the clitoral fascia. The tunica albuginea surrounds the paired corpora cavernosa, which contain numerous vascular spaces. A deep artery runs centrally within the corpus cavernosum. The image illustrates the organization of erectile tissue and associated neurovascular components of the clitoris.
